Neukölln freeway junction fully closed on three weekends

Construction site on Berlin's A100 city highway

Shortly before the planned 16th construction phase on the A100, there will be a full closure over the next three weekends.

Due to the commissioning of the new control center at the Neukölln freeway junction, the junction will be fully closed for three consecutive weekends.

The closures will last from Friday evening at 9 p.m. until Monday morning at 6 a.m., according to the responsible northeast branch of the highway company. The first closure phase is already this weekend.

Closures on the A100 and A113

The A100 access roads Britzer Damm, Buschkrugallee (both sides), Grenzallee, Späthstraße (towards the Neukölln interchange) and the entire Dresden lane will be closed. Traffic will be diverted to Gradestraße. On the A113, the lane in the direction of the highway junction is closed, with a diversion to Späthstraße.

Several jobs in parallel

The work is necessary for the conversion of the control and display technology in the area of the highway junction. "In addition, installation and cabling work is being carried out for new LED displays and large-format signpost boards," it said. "This work considerably restricts traffic space and can be carried out more quickly, safely and efficiently with a full road closure."
